Scratch Changelog v3
The download link in the 3.0 footer (though not the 2.0 footer) now links to https://www.scratchfoundation.org/tools (which also links to ScratchJr's downloads, Scratch Lab, and OctoStudio) instead of https://scratch.mit.edu/download . The original download page is still up, for now.
I know that the changelog mentions that the footer was updated, but this is probably worth mentioning separately as it's bound to cause some confusion.

The original download page is still up, for now.Yes, I know that, and I’m quite saddened by this change, because what if somebody wants to download an older version of Scratch, like Scratch 2.0, 1.x, or maybe even some of the 3.0 versions? The download link in the 3.0 footer (though not the 2.0 footer) now links to
I’m glad the download page is still up. I just hope, fingers crossed, that it doesn’t get taken down anytime soon, or at least, stays up for another few weeks
How would it cause confusion? I think I know what you mean by “separately” but just to be sure I’m thinking of the right thing I would like some clarification I know that the changelog mentions that the footer was updated, but this is probably worth mentioning separately as it's bound to cause some confusion.

Scratch Changelog v3
Well, the 2.0 footer hasn't been updated with the same page, and there's still a lot of stuff about how to download 2.0 or 1.4 that refers to the download link in the footer. How would it cause confusion? I think I know what you mean by “separately” but just to be sure I’m thinking of the right thing I would like some clarification I know that the changelog mentions that the footer was updated, but this is probably worth mentioning separately as it's bound to cause some confusion.
Additionally, some newer Scratchers may be confused by which page is the “real” download page (of course there isn't really a right answer to that one, but they might not know that, or they might think that one has an older version of the editor linked to download).

I re-uploaded it in case this happens by the way (also, scratch-desktop is on GitHub luckily)https://www.scratchfoundation.org/tools (which also links to ScratchJr's downloads, Scratch Lab, and OctoStudio) instead of https://scratch.mit.edu/download . Anyway, I've seen some people say stuff like “but the footer hasn't changed” and “statistics is still linked”
Edit: also one of them didn't know that there were “3.0 pages” and “2.0 pages”

You should add face sensing blocks from scratch lab to the future updates because in the scratch conference, the scratch team announced it coming in fall 2025.
