Webp images are everywhere, and you never know until downloading, it's very inconvenient to change it in the file settings itself, and most of the time doesn't work. This would just be easier.

Support because WebP are used in a lot of places, and chaning file name will sometimes get corruputed.

Not only will this help with high quality PFP and Studio Thumbnails it will also be helpful in other ways if this was implemented

Support, WebP images are pretty much impossible to upload to any website I use, so let's at least make Scratch not one of them

Support!

However you can just rename the .webp to a .png and Scratch will accept it despite it still being a .webp.

Its not that hard to convert webp images to pngs if your on a chromebook just remame the file from “Balling.webp to Balling.png”

not all people know that

What has the world come to if the average computer user doesn't know how to rename a file? If it really is as simple as renaming a file, no support. It would be good if people had to rename the file because then they would actually learn the file system and it's useful knowledge.
this website is for like 6 year olds, shame on them for not being the most tech-savvy people in the world ig?

Just for people to be aware, just because this is easy to work around doesn't make it a bad suggestion. There's more pros than cons in this suggestion.

Not sure I agree with this post anymore oh my god it was made almost 3 years ago but thanks for mentioning it; .webp support should be everywhere
