Why not make it visible to everyone, rather than have updates show up in the Activity tab?

Necroposts don't exist in suggestions. Bumping isn't necroposting as long as it's following forum etiquette.

Support. Idk, it just makes things easier and you've provided solutions for the issues that may arise.

Bump! As a manager of a rather active studio with ever-changing regulations, I still believe that this concept could be incredibly useful.

How do you propose that this will prevent private messaging?
To answer your question, she is saying that there would be a separate updates section on studios along with projects, comments and the like, that everyone could see, which would prevent any attempt at private messaging because even if you think your messages are private, any random guy could click ‘updates’ and see your update.

Support, but there should be a 1 day cooldown when you update a studio (one studio only) to avoid spam.

For sure. I'd even suggest having the cooldown be longer than one day - several days to a week seems like an adequate maximum frequency for major updates.

I totally get this idea, however, I feel like there should be a way to turn it off or select studios you want that from. THis is mainly because IF you ever (yeah) joined a lot of studios, you might get a LARGE ammount of mail, especially from the big studios that often invite everyone.
