crazy, I was crazy once, scratch released a new feature for thumbnails, but I cant click on anything when I try to, even the new thumbnail button, I cant access the projects I made. You using Vista? Impossible! I thought Vista can only run up to 52esr which isn't officially compatible…

I saw two threads with the same problem, and one of them was also using a Chrome browser on a ChromeOS system.

For those who are seeing freezing issues: by any chance, is the bug being encountered on a school-issued device?

I was honestly starting to suspect that, but didn't get to write a post about it. However, some of them appeared to have “versions” instead of “version”, so it could be less likely that they're school ones because schools often block extensions (if it says “No Flash versions detected” instead of “No Flash version detected”, it means that the person writing the post has a specific setting turned on in an extension)
It could potentially just be a Chromebook issue for some reason

It happens only when the “Try our new feature” thingy shows. If you click “Set Thumbnail” and then click X on the dialog, the problem goes away.

the issue itself just seems to be: the “Hi! Try our new feature” popup is causing any elements that clicks should pass through to instead block clicks (“pointer-events: all” due to a “.driver-active:has(.tooltip-set-thumbnail) *” rule). in this case, an element with the class name “stage_stage-bottom-wrapper_vRJed” that covers the stage, normally has pointer-events: none, but the popup causes it to not ignore pointer events, so stage clicks are blocked. (if you hide the popup, e.g with the arrow keys or by just showing the announcement window from clicking the set thumbnail button, it works though).

maybe it's related to the new share confirmation that also uses webdriver to highlight the set thumbnail button (but to black out and block clicks on the rest of the page instead of just showing a tooltip)? idk maybe not though

Yea hold on I'm gonna see if it works (I swear I was able to click the set thumbnail button on firefox 115 esr)
