but the kidz support pride https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLuBXLvfoQ0
They're only doing it because they don't want to get backlash for not supporting Pride. It's the same as Disney, they only support Pride Month to get brownie points, just so they don't get backlash for not supporting Pride. That's what I remember.

both are child oriented so it works, and I'm sure both scratch and kidz bop would get lots of promotion from the collab

they could add the kidz bop kidz as costumes or sprites and add some of their songs as sounds

what do you guys think

Kids bop isn't exactly kid-friendly. While some of the songs are kid-friendly, the source of the song is questionable at best. Remember, popular songs aren't always kid-friendly and unfortunatly, that's the formula Kidz bop mainly follows. Also, you may think they don't say bad words, right? While yes they have used a single word of bad words, they have used inappropriate words that aren't suitable for kids. If they was ever a collaboration with kidz bop and Scratch, Scratch would have to be careful of the song choices, not to mention, the lyrics themselves. They don't want complaints from parents talking about how their kid isn't exactly using kid-friendly words.

They've covered songs by Rihanna, The Chainsmokers, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Lil Nas X, and so many other artists that have songs that contain inappropriate themes. It doesn't have to be the lines themselves.

Okay, so I just listened to the first kidzbop song I've heard in probably 7 years, and that confirmed I do not want this feature. I don't want to casually click on some random scratch project and suddenly be assaulted with “If I took you home, we would play on the mat.”

portalpower wrote:

Even if kidzbop removes the themes, it could still lead to people looking up the original innapropriate songs.

Yes it would, actually. That's the same reason horror-less Sprunki games are still banned.

Uhhh yes it can not every child has the internet locked down like a lab on emergency mode and they can easily search up the song (and could search it up without “kids bop” at the end) and end up finding the explicit version

Many people don’t use lgbt themes in scratch projects and they don’t get anything bad from scratch

There's a difference between censorship and not using something altogether. On one hand, there's banning something completely, and on the other, there's not caring about it.

Thats actually very hard. Take a moment to appreciate that nobody has found the original sources of some Scratch music tracks.

Scratch does cooperate collabs - Like with Google. Google's for profit - but Scratch still worked with it.

Furthermore, I checked out the songs. They are completely appropriate for Scratch (I mean, they are legal where I live. Thats already something.), and the sound library needs variety. Like longer tracks - Many Scratchers use long tracks, but Scratch's are all less than a minute long.

Complete and unconditional support.

Those are obscure music pieces specifically made for scratch. Kidzbop covers the most popular songs in the world. Vast difference. It would take one google search to find the original.
