partly because. ive never been a fan of politics and that kind of stuff in movies anyways but the action saved act 1 tbh.
All art is political.
Well, not all art.
All art is made in the context of the world around it. The world around it is defined by its politics. Nothing is made in a vacuum.
Are you telling me that the movie “Argylle” is political?
Yes, but I can't actually defend that position because I haven't seen it and never will, but Argylle is definitely political because all art is.
Disagree, so I did a little scouring for general opinion. I’ve stolen this response from a site I can’t name, but it sums up my thoughts pretty nicely:

The words of a user from a site I can’t name wrote:

If everything is, then nothing is . When a term is so broad like that it loses its meaning.

There is plenty of political art, and if you wish to cast all religion as “political” and all still life floral arrangements as “political” and all abstract compositions expressing feeling through color as “political” then you may as well call the love you have for your child or spouse as “political” too.

One can argue all art is cultural, as art is unavoidably created within a cultural context. But “political” is more narrowly defined than that.

Context matters. Context gives meaning. And of course anything can be recast as “political” if you personally cast it as such. There’s nothing political about the word “water” or “mother”. But in the context of “motherland” or “mother of all bombs” it’s obviously changes meaning. Art is much like that, and context is part of its communication. Monet spoke often of his water lilies and never said anything political about them. But after WWI he gifted a fantastic mural as part of his nation’s healing. Arguably that’s a political (and certainly a social) context. But 40 yrs of Water Lillies before that were not at all political. Context matters, whether it’s a word like “mother” or a painting of one.
I've stolen this (incredibly delayed) rebuttal, but here.

I hope the sequel is just Superman trying to catch them all as they wreak havoc on Metropolis.

I’m not sure if anyone said this already but I’m super excited to see this Superman interact with the actual justice league

While most of the jokes in Superman landed or werent a big deal, I utterly hated the mighty crabjoys song in the credits. Like I get it’s not supposed to be good but I hurried out of the theater on second viewing so I wouldn’t have to listen to it again
I feel like it was kinda meant to be super corny because it's the kinda thing that Clark would think was punk. But yeah musically it's absolute a$ⓢ juice
… I thought it was a bop.
I mean, the exact words I used were a slight exaggeration
Its corny, but a fun song.
