Scratch is adding a new feature that lets you set the thumbnail of your projects. However, this button is blue.
I suggest making this button purple to match the rest of the site.

I think we can assume this is already the plan: there is no way the horribly scuffed image in the thumbnail announcement represents a finished product.

Yeah, you're probably right. I just looked at the image and there's 1 remix, 20 favorites, 18 hearts, and 0 views.

I disagree. I think it is blue to contrast the purple, like the Remix button.

That would be the single most hypocritical decision ever if the ST decided to pull that off. They decided to change the color from the blue to purple (which a lot of people did not like), only for them to just add a blue button?

Not to mention the multiple parts of the website still in blue. I don’t usually dislike scratch team, but if you are gonna make your website “accessible” THEN DO IT RIGHT AND ACTUALLY ACKNOWLEDGE THE PEOPLE WHO NEED IT. It makes me partially annoyed that multiple things are still blue for 2 years making the website still non-color blind friendly in places.

Please discuss color contrast update inconsistencies here rather than polluting this topic with the superheated tone of discussion characteristic of the suggestions forum just after the color contrast update happened. I do not want to see that level of flame warfare ever again.

Yeah I am 99% sure they used an old mockup for that image too. Tips was the name of a page that was used before Ideas, and the project is dated 2018

I was suspecting that it was an old mockup though, even if it wasn't a 2.0 mockup. There were mockups of 3.0 before it actually released, and scratch-www as well as the Tips page existed before 3.0 released too. I think scratch-www was first used on the website in like 2016

1. It matches with the color scheme
2. Color contrast (or something like that)

wouldn't someone technically be able to sue the Scratch Team because the Set Thumbnail button's text doesn't contrast well enough (the same reason the rest of the website was made purple, basically)?

I support now that the button is in-fact blue. Like oh nooo because you are colorblind you can’t have a thumbnail anymore!!! And that’s annoying. Scratch team did all of these changes yet left one of their most important features to be non-colorblind friendly and that sucks a lot. Scratch team should absolutely change the thumbnail feature to purple because now some people won’t have a thumbnail and that’s gonna be sad.
