I know, but I'm saying that it doesn't make sense to have random backdrop and previous backdrop, but no equivalent for costumes. There's a workaround to random costume:Full support, we have next costume, next backdrop, previous backdrop, yet no previous costume. Why not? Also, we have random backdrop, but not random costume.switch costume to (pick random (1) to (10) )// it should be how many costumes you actually have

No support because the workaround is easyYou could say the same thing about the already existing next costume/backdrop blocks, as well as the options in the switch backdrop to () blocks, which were implemented in 2.0. This means that they didn't exist yet in 1.x

Here's a workaround (don't know if this has been posted here already):
But i totally agree, a dedicated “prev costume” block would be nice.
switch costume to ((costume [number v]) - (1))

Also, all they have to do is show “previous costume” in the switch costume to () dropdown. It works perfectly fine, and previous backdrop already exists in the switch backdrop to () blocks

There are workarounds for this:
switch costume to ((costume [number v])-(1))Also, make a costume called “previous costume” and put this in the code:
switch costume to (previous costume v)If you delete the costume and then use the block (it will still be there), it switches to the previous costume.

There are workarounds for this:We know, and we're just asking Scratch to simply add “previous costume” to the dropdown because we already have stuff like next backdrop, previous backdrop, next costume, and random backdrop. Also, it already functions, so why not just add it?switch costume to ((costume [number v])-(1))Also, make a costume called “previous costume” and put this in the code:switch costume to (previous costume v)If you delete the costume and then use the block (it will still be there), it switches to the previous costume.

you guys know that just because it has work arounds doesn't mean it should not be added

This should be added since even though the workaround is easy, it takes a while, and before you say that the workaround is better, the same workaround (but adding) worked for the next costume block, and they added it in anyways.

1: how is this not in scratchIt technically is in Scratch, and literally all Scratch has to do is add “previous costume” to the dropdown options in the switch costume to () block by the way

Or they could remove:
and just have
with the next and previous costume in them.
switch backdrop to [ v] and wait
next costume

Or they could remove:switch backdrop to () and wait is different from switch backdrop to (). The latter does not wait for “when backdrop switches to ()” blocks to finish, while the former does.switch backdrop to [ v] and waitnext costumenext backdrop
and just haveswitch costume to [ v]switch backdrop to [ v]
with the next and previous costume in them.
Anyway, that's what some of us have been suggesting (removing the last two)

Actually, has no-one noticed this before? They have added the dropdown with next costume, previous costume and random costume. I've seen this for a while now. Has no-one checked before?

I checked a few seconds ago and I don't see a next or previous costume. Are you sure you're it's not a browser extension causing this?
