Where do the Music Loops Come From? [UPDATED]

Something is… really off. Why does it say June 8th 2015 when there are projects made before that date with dance celebrate? Also, i was using the way back machine to run ruffle in the editor (cuz the ruffle app doesn’t work the way I want it to) and all the dance tracks are there… and they are all .wav unfortunately
My bad, it was dance around and dance magic

Yeah Ruffle is quite impressive but it isn't a perfect emulator so it gets hung up on complex programs, it makes sense that it might not be able to handle Scratch… It might be more efficient to try to find a project made when they were first added and see if they have any metadata stored there?

I found this project which shows it DOES have .mp3 in the name, but… this person edited the song which makes Scratch convert it to WAV and wipe metadata ;-;

THE MP3 EXTENSION WAS A DISGUISE. IT WAS ALWAYS WAV BUT SCRATCH IMPORTED THE FILES NAMED WITH THE MP3 EXTENSION IN THE NAME.

One time that happened to me… but with A BLENDER SOUND EFFECT. (I had only downloaded it for a game I was making lol)
It was TERRIFYING.

Ughhh that is so frustrating
Come to think of it, I have seen that happening in older projects — Scratch would convert it but keep both extensions in the name

It could imply that ST has a mp3 copy with possible metadata somewhere. Maybe we could ask around or use contact us?

Finding: Beatbox, DripDrop, and xylo3 were most likely the original scrapped names of Human Beatbox2, Drip Drop, and Xylo3 as Weekend by andresmh (oldest available project on scratch) has a sound called beatbox in the earphones sprite and when you import Human Beatbox2 and add the long pause at the end from beatbox onto human beatbox2, the length of the tracks both line up,

Where do the Music Loops Come From? [UPDATED]

I stumbled upon this podcast called MUE podcast (apparently it’s some music from the music program at the university of Miami) that had a lot of Beau silver songs (FYI: All of the Beau silver songs are from Beau silver’s website) and it has underwater trance. Now that’s not why I’m here. Im here because I saw a song called “slow drip” by Matt Stayton (Ik I may be a tiny bit delusional over drip drop) and ANYTHING that has water and is associated with scratch team I have to see if it’s drip drop. I’m currently trying to find a way to play the audio file as I can’t find a way to play it anywhere. I’ll update this if I can get it to play. (Note: so far I’ve found 4 websites. two dont have any episodes of it, the other two is one doesn’t work, the other is in Portuguese and requires a log in)

update: nvm it’s a rock track -_- but I also found more Beau silver stuff

In underwater trance on the bottom there’s the flute, but the one ontop is just M A R I M B A .

Me either, tbh. At this point our best bet might be a lead just randomly popping up

Yeah. It really, really sucks that it’s come to this. Either wait for a lead to randomly pop up, or contact someone which it’s pretty risky.

Yeah but that’s literally gonna have the same outcome and unless we can get someone who has searched for lost media before it’s gonna take a while for them to get the hang of it like I did
