Additionally, shelves can sort-of act as a substitute for verticle slabs, which I think would look cool on builds!

It's so painful seeing java players play in active survival servers and I can only play realms and minigame servers(I can rarely find an actual active realm that doesn't doe after a month and you have to do some MASSIVEly ancient method to play in servers on xbox just for them to have a LOW amount of players. It really TAPERS with me wrong and makes me wanna FADE away)

I mean, I saw a video covering a bedrock-java crossplay server where it's set to beta Minecraft (like, before hunger was added) but it's compatible for all versions. I don't know if its chat is moderated so I can't say the name.

I built a MASSIVE base with a LOW roof that had TAPERing corners but someone made it FADE.

Here's a fun thing to do when you're bored:
-join an active smp
-make friends with the person with the most connections
-if possible in server, set up a tp at their base(or save the cords)
-be active in the server for weeks
-get lava and water buckets
-if their base is made out of wood, use the lava to burn it down and the bases nearby
-make MASSIVE cobblestone walls around their base using that one method with lava and water
-if the person accuses you, deny I
-watch as the drama unfolds, with people accusing eachover

I actually managed to make a server die because I did this and the person I did this to left a sign saying that if I did it then she's sorry for whatever she'd done to me
Too bad I guess

Bonus: if you find any signs in the starting area that aren't waxed change them to something goofy(my friend actually once changed a “start surviving” sign to “start dying” and the owner said he'll keep it after I reported the sign not being waxed to him

How do you keep a server alive? I have owned many servers that last for months, and then some drama happens at school and it makes the server die down for the next month

The best way is keeping yourself active, and being determined to make server survive. A tip is also start recruiting ppl in scartch and other places. And doing it massively because at least on scratch, if you advertize your server to 100 ppl, 50 will never asnwer, of the 50 that will, only 30 will answer more than once, of those 30, only 15 will be interested, of those 15 only 5-7 will get to joining phase of which 3 wont be able to join. So you can expect a around 3-5% sucess rate when recruiting. (in scratch, in other places depends but for me its 0% sucess rate)
