[New Maintainer] Snazzle: A better frontend for Scratch, built by the community, for the community
apparently i own snazzle now. ig i'll start doing something with it probablyCan confirm. I’ve decided to step down as lead maintainer. Mostly because I never did anything. However, now there will maybe be a few commits here and there from me.
For others wondering, I told EngineerRunner this privately somewhere I can’t mention.
I might actually work on SPS again as well.

Just to see how it looks, I tried to install Snazzle locally and it ended up throwing half a dozen errors while trying to install all the packages. It somehow corrupted my packages and I had to reinstall everything. Oops…
Partially unrelated:
I'm thinking of making my own custom Scratch frontend, just as a learning experience. Does anyone have any name suggestions?

I can't do much with the project anymore but I think it's time to pronounce it dead

Why is everybody acting like this is a big dealNOOOOJust to see how it looks, I tried to install Snazzle locally and it ended up throwing half a dozen errors while trying to install all the packages. First of all, I don't have an actual say in whether to kill it. That's @EngineerRunner's job.
Second, nothing has been done in years. There is no point in keeping it alive and every time the project has been resuscitated, it's died again. Also, ScratchDB, a major dependency of Snazzle, has not been online in over a year, and Voyager (our planned scraper) never made it out of the very start of development.

(#551)EngineerRunner should put it up to a vote IMO. up to him though, but if he does my vote is kill it. not worth keeping the project alive for name's sake. maybe it can be revived later some time though. scratch community especially aters are dying. we're moving on, let's let the next-generation do this, we're gone now.Why is everybody acting like this is a big dealNOOOOJust to see how it looks, I tried to install Snazzle locally and it ended up throwing half a dozen errors while trying to install all the packages. I'm going to close down the topic because there's a lot of off-topic posts and no activity. Development-related talk will happen on Github.
