Bravo! You guessed it– I was beginning to think that you never would. And yes, of course it was me! Sweet, innocent Moxie… nobody would ever guess! But, well, I guess that you all did. I'm quite impressed, honestly. The truth is, I was jealous. Celeste and Jester… they never considered me important enough to include in their rivalry, though it was my business that kept the festival running while Basil was… indisposed. I'd apologize, but we all had such fun together, didn't we?! But the sad part is… I used a magical artifact to spell Basil, and I've misplaced it. And without it destroyed, I have no way to lift the spell. I put it in your hands now, since you are all clearly capable: follow the trail of clues, retrieve the artifact, and end this once and for all. Or not! I'm happy either way…
