most vector files can't be imported into Scratch and I don't think there's much you can do about that

I. Can't upload sprites
I have a 2022 Moto G 5G, which is very similar, and these are the steps I followed:
(some files have been removed from the image to avoid sharing personal information)

As long as you upload a compatible image format (jpg, bmp, png, etc), the sprite loads correctly. If it is not a compatible image format (zip, sb3, pdf, etc), then no sprite will be created.
If you need help uploading an image from a different directory or perhaps a service like Google Photos, just let me know and I can help with that.
EDIT: why did my battery level plumet?

Mostly any transparent images do not load, however you just need to convert them to a lower quality
