I just reread the first and only fanfic I've written and it was certainly something. It's about a character who steals genders making a gender stealing robot to steal genders for them. Accidentally, the gender stealer sends the robot to one of their friends, and it steals their gender. It was awful. There were so many unnecessary details. This wasn't published anywhere, it's just been in Google docs for 3 years collecting dust, but I'm considering publishing it because I think it is very effective crack.

i just got into a new fandom and my fav ship only has like 30 fanfictions lol

I love fics with odd layouts so much. I've read one that was a bunch of letters sent from 2 people to eachother and it was so good. The social media ones are always classics. It's a shame most of them are under 2000 words.

I want to do two truths one lie with fanfiction I've read so I'm doing that. Just guess which one you think I'm lying about having read.

1. People play ball with a baby head in the streets of London.

2. Someone starts a freddy nights at five plush channel

3. Character falls in love with a door. Was not crack.

I'll reveal the lie after 5 answers or so (or if its just been a while since I posted this)

Is it just me or is there a SEVERE lack of xReader fics where the reader is a guy? Like I get that fanfic is a space dominated by women but please give something! I'm so tired of going from 1000 xReader fics to like 2 when I filter out F/M

Even ones that are gender neutral reader still read as very feminine

I just saw the most deranged comment section on a fic ever. The first comment was a whole paragraph crying about how shipping real people is evil and shaming the author. The fic wasn't RPF. The second comment was just about how strange the comments were. The third comment was a normal compliment which the author replied to. The original commenter then replied to the author saying they were convicted in 2017 and that it was a long story.
