Hello
I was once experimenting a long time ago and found out about how % characters represent different characters in URL encoding, and I found an empty character (%15) and put it inside my project.
It crashed and all my progress is lost.
This glitch can be produced with other special unicode characters too. %15 is just one of the many characters. %15 is known as the Negative-acknowledge Character, and is a “unicode control character”, basically meaning it doesn't show up visually. Scratch fails to load this character so it crashes.
Me and several others put that inside of Scratch Wiki, although I doubt it's still there but check the Bugs and Glitches page on the wiki and you can find tons of information about how and why.
Also unless you are intentionally doing this (or experimenting with weird unicode characters) there is no way this becomes a problem. I doubt the Scratch Team will ever fix it, as long as it isn't a particularly terrible glitch.

Recently, I experimented with letters. Since I realized it has hexadecimal, which makes sense, since Unicode uses hexadecimal, so you can write something like this, so, for example, you can search %54%68%65%20%76%6f%6c%6c%65%79%64%61%74%65. In other words, The Volleydate

Yes, you read that right; %15. It's a bug that uses the “” character. It's not a space character, it's a glyph named “Negative Acknowledge”, and it has a Unicode value of. This bug can literally delete most of the blocks in your projects. and here's how to do it:U+0015
- Open the Scratch website and search up “%15”
- We don't mind about the results, but just copy the character in the search bar (incase you forgot, it's “”)
- Create a new project
- Go to the sounds tab, and rename the sound to that character
- Go back to the coding tab. You can now see that ALL but the motion, looks, and sound categories remain, but there is only one block in the sound tab
To make it even more insane, you can delete the sound tab as well. Here's how to do that.
- In that same project, go to the costumes tab, and rename all of them to the character (incase you forgot, it's “”). Don't mind if it has two or more sprites and it becomes “”, “2”, “3”, … "n"
- Go back to the coding tab. You can now see that the sound category is gone. Somehow, the looks category has four blocks.
Now you have successfully confused your teacher. Give yourself a pat on the back
this is (bug) = false
this is (hack) = yeaa

Create a new project. Go to the “My Blocks” tab and click “Make a Block”. Name your block “”. Click “OK” and BOOM! You have a wierd… um… red hat block ig? It’s wierd, though.
