I experience this bug too, It’s very annoying And I hope it gets patched, if you use the website I recommend going onto notifications then Restart it 2 times then go back.
when green flag clicked
if <annoying bug happens> then
[get annoyed]
wait (1) secs
think [we need to stop the scratch bugs!] for (2) secs
end

I got a message early here are the blocks of the messages
2nd.
when green flag clicked
wait (5) secs
broadcast [send ghost message v]
forever
if <its not true> thenend
Get mad
end
2nd.
when this sprite clicked
hide
broadcast [Report v]
say [scratch doesnt fix this] for (2) secs
stop [everything and ignore the message v]

wowI swear that I got the ghost message thing on a studio (I had been navigating project pages before), and it disappeared when I went to messagesidk… I once got 6 messages but all were ghost messages when I clicked into another page
because the difference between a ghost message and a real message is the ghost message disappears when you go to another 2.0 page while a real message lingers for minutes

happening to me as well! when I get messages I randomly get a notification that I have like 1 message and then I click on it and there are no more messages

I see 1 message sometimes. Only occurs on 2.0 pages (forums, profile, mystuff, etc).

(#99)Was there a specific reason you bumped? Are you still experiencing this glitch? I don’t think I’m having it anymore. ( or at least I'm get them less often that before - its still occasional happening )

I keep having it happen. I get messages, check them, get back to whatever I was doing, and then later, I get the same amount of messages, check them, and nothing shows up.
