ghost messages
I've been getting these a lot recently, but only on 2.0 pages for some reason. Currently, my count is sitting at 3, but when I click on it, there are no new messages.
(My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Firefox 140.0, No Flash versions detected)

This is happening to me too. I literally check messages, nothing. 3 minutes later, same thing! One time I got like 3 messages and nothing! Absolutely nothing! This seriously needs to be fixed… EDIT 1 (7/11/25): Bro I got nine and it was nothing…

I get this on certain 2.0 pages. Never on the messages page or any other 3.0 page.

I would also like to know if anyone has been not getting notification when they get muted, as this could indicate the bug is related to certain types of notification.When getting muted I did receive the welcome back notification, but before that it wasn’t showing up on 2.0 pages as a notification like it usually does.

Mine is like when I am in a certain area of scratch it says I have new messages but I don't then I click and it goes away then I enter another part of scratch and it happens again

I've seen it happen for me at least twice, I believe…….. How is it happening, IDK.That's happened to me before. Once I logged onto my account and I had 13 messages but when I checked there were no new ones. It happened to me again (on the same day, I think) but with 16 messages.
Looks like I get a message (1), but there is nothing there that I have not already checked before. :O

idk… I once got 6 messages but all were ghost messages when I clicked into another page
because the difference between a ghost message and a real message is the ghost message disappears when you go to another 2.0 page while a real message lingers for minutes

When I get a comment, sometimes it will show up in my messages but when I go to the place where the comment was placed, it will not show up until I reply with a comment. I have not found a way to fix this for original comments and not replies

The ghost messages when muted are on 2.0 pages and are a different glitch.

i swear to god i keep seeing these fake comments (which i'm going to call ghost comments or whatever) and there's no new comments and they appear every couple minutes and they're driving me crazy
