in scratch you are able to upload .gif files to it, and i was wondering if there was a max length and/or a max file size

That really depends. Scratch usually doesn't allow you to upload a gif on yr profile or a studio if it's greater than: Maximum file size is 512 KB and less than 500x500 pixels. Usually.

There is no costume number limit for sprites. The only limit is the 5mb project.json limit (and a 10mb per asset limit).

it's crash or lag. Scratch might be able to handle it but you just gotta make sure your system doesn't crash before all the frames get uploaded.
