The last time I made a variable, there was a checkmark box that would make it a ‘cloud variable’- what's that?

Variables who send data to the server. In other simple words, Multiplayer blocks. For more information about them, here.

A cloud variable allows information (in number form only) to be stored on servers. This means that let's say you wanted to make a game where you click on a button. And you wanted the button to tell everyone how many times it has been clicked. With cloud variables you can make it so it could save how many times it has been clicked by all scratchers. This also opens up the world of multiplayer. Tell me if you need more info.

That is a variable that when changed on one users computer will appear that way on all users computers.
It can be used to make multiplayer games, high score boards, etc.

You can use them for multiplayer games high scores and much more they are a variable the someone can change and someone else on the same project can see the change

A cloud variable is a variable with the same data for all projects when a viewer is viewing a project. So a variable of high score would be the same for someone in China as it would for someone in America.

As long as they are not in the project editor mode. This is to stop rigging of highscores.

Or remixes. When you remix, the data is what it was last. Then it gets new data on that project only.

cloud variables, are… server variables, the variables are saved to the server. Therefore it looks the same to everyone, and update automatically. no needing to refresh the page. Therefore allowing MMORPG games.
