Possibility of a 3D RPG in Scratch?
Someone made Wolfenstein 3D already (of course removing violence and making weapons into laser things) by making the levels rendered by vertical “slices” of the images for walls, so that it wouldn't have to raycast pixel-by-pixel. What if someone made something similar to the first Elder Scrolls game, like a 3D RPG?

Woah. Link please? Someone made Wolfenstein 3D
I'm sure it could be done. Griffpatch has made a 3D multiplayer shooter in Scratch.

I'm sure it's possible, it would just take a lot of work and have to be super-optimized

True 3D games are pretty hard. Especially in Scratch. The closest that you're going to get to a 3D RPG is the one by MrLog (I think? I forgot its name… whoops.) right now.

Personally I've not seen a better one so it would be nice to see one.

Possibility of a 3D RPG in Scratch?
Scratch is getting better and faster as they improve it, so maybe something like the first Elder Scrolls game's simple graphics. Just make it not so advanced (like in Elder Scrolls I: Arena you could go into water that is below ground slightly) and just a regular raycaster with sprites, NPCs, etc. but make no violence of course and maybe make the swords something else…I really would like to ask of the Scratch team, are swords allowed, as long as no other more violent weapons are used, and no blood or wounds are shown, and the only things killed don't die but are just “downed” temporarily, like asleep? I know they don't like violence, so if I do think about a cool idea I'd want to be sure to follow the rules lol
The hardest thing might be the quest system with different types of quests and rpg elements, but once someone makes an RPG engine and a tutorial on how to use it, someone is bound to remake TES I: Arena or make a great RPG of their own.

Sorry I meant something else. Already forgot what I meant, had something to do with questing and experience and the way that quests can be different (ex: not all quests are delivering items, but then I realized that most are so this isn't a big deal) but it doesn't matter. The hardest thing is the rendering and speeds, what I meant is all that stuff aside, the hardest gameplay element. Then again, I wasn't even paying attention to what I was saying.
