Pen Eraser Block

How do you copy the code

Pen Eraser Block

There's a very simple workaround:
set pen color to [#ffffff] // Replace the color with whatever your background color is
However, many Scratchers (especially new Scratchers) may not be aware of the workaround/find it complicated (especially for more detailed backgrounds), so I semi-support on that basis alone.

Support! I think this would be really useful in 100% pen proejcts, and also just in general!

Yeah, but what if the backdrop/background is not just one color? for example, if we used the “blue sky” backdrop, we would have green, brown, AND light blue. Then we couldn't just use one color, as there is 3 colors now. That's why I support

It seems very easy for them to figure out.

Support. This would be much more useful because of the fact that people can have multi colour backgrounds.

what if it’s a gradient? what if the color effect is used in a forever block or smth and the color constantly changes? what if it’s a drawing game and you can change the canvas color, and for example the bg is white, the user draws something, the user erases it, and the user later decides to change the bg to pink but now the “erased” part is white?

Pen Eraser Block

I think it would be easier to have a single block:
set pen to [pen v] :: pen

set pen to [eraser v] :: pen
You wouldn't have to track the size of both the pen and eraser separately, and it would avoid the situation of both being down at the same time.

This is good idea

I support this one, and also a workaround would have to work when the backdrop changes, and it would be very hard to make a workaround for a backdrop with corners if a different color.
