What should you do if you get banned from Scratch?
I'm just asking so I know what to do if you get banned.

either a week or over 3 yearsyou could also appeal them at some email they’ll show you when you get bannedAnd how long would it take to respond?
but if a month or 2 has passed you can resend them
if they do not respond to that one also i think they won’t respond to any (source: very foggy in my head, if anyone could verify or point out that im wrong please tell me)

What should you do if you get banned from Scratch?
- If you are banned from Scratch, the first thing you should remember is not to ban evade. That's when you make a new account to avoid a ban, and it could lead to your original ban getting longer, or to your network getting banned.
- After that, figure out what got you banned. If you don't think you did anything wrong, read the ban message carefully and read the admin notifications carefully. This should provide you some insight on why you were banned. For example, I got banned for “attempting to guess passwords”, when in reality it was a malfunctioning API program that I had forgotten about.
- Finally, the ban message may say “your account will be automatically unblocked on (insert date here)”. If that's the case, you're lucky, because you will automatically be unbanned and you don't need to do anything except be more careful about your behavior in the future.
- If the ban message says “Fill out the below form to appeal this block”, there will be a form at the bottom of the page to appeal. Make sure to read that carefully so you know exactly what to put there.
- If it doesn't say either of those things, and it doesn't have an appeal box, your account is blocked and not allowed to appeal. This usually only happens if you get permanently banned multiple times and the Scratch Team believes you do not intend to improve your behavior. If this happens, and you really, really, really believe that you did not do anything wrong, use Contact Us with the topic “Question about a notification or blocked account” and politely ask for more information about your block.
- When I had the stupid idea of making a bot without permission from the ST, the ban only applied to that account, and the ban message said “You are welcome to create a new account, but please follow the community guidelines while using scratch”. In this case, I learned from my mistake and was able to keep using my normal account.
- TLDR; read everything carefully and do not spam the Scratch Team.

Use the site without logging in, or if its a permanent ban, don't use scratch anymore.

I was permanently banned on October 22nd. They replied to my appeal in around January, I believe. That's 3 months for me… however the time span heavily varies.you could also appeal them at some email they’ll show you when you get bannedAnd how long would it take to respond?

And some permanent bans aren't appeal-able- repeated offenses resulting in bans and then continuing that behavior, posting content that is extremely inappropriate for Scratch, or breaking the law can all lead to this kind of ban.I was permanently banned on October 22nd. In this case, the Scratch Team doesn't want to ever see you again and you should leave.

snipThat would result in an IP ban, not an unappealable permanent ban.

A temporary ban: Just wait.
A permaban: Send an appeal, but never send it more than once, and please, PLEASE do not ban evade, because many people accidentally ban evade and many of the ban evaders never get caught. This just makes your ban longer and risks an IP ban or an unappealable ban. As for appealing, the response time can vary from instant to MONTHS (2 months for my ban experience)
