Helpful Tips and Tricks
Step One: Get a Program
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
The essential tool to making any digital creation is a good program. Scratch comes with a basic art maker, but isn't very friendly towards making a pfp due to its inability to choose pixel sizes easily, or have clipping layers to make a rounded corner or circle pfp. There's quite a few safe, free, and reputable ones many artists use. If you already have one, feel free to skip this part! If you don't, I'd recommend trying…
•FireAlpaca. It's pretty complicated compared to other free art Programs. Its only available on PC.
•Krita. This one is much like Firealpaca, with a very slightly different setup. Its also PC only.
•Ibis Paint X. This is the one I use. Its available for free on Mobile devices (Excluding Amazon Fires, unless they are jailbroken like mine. Requires Apple or Google Play Store.) but costs money on PC.
Make sure to watch a tutorial on how to use basic functions on these programs if you're new to digital art; you'll need to know how to use clipping layers, adjust canvas size, and some other things.

Step Two: Choose a Shape and Size
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
There are numerous shapes a Pfp can come in, like…
•Simple Squares. These are the most basic of options, having pointed corners like the average pfp.
•Rounded Squares. These are the same as the above, except with rounded corners to make it look more professional.
•Circles. These are seen in a lot of different sites, like YouTube, Google, and more.
Although there is only one size for a pfp, which is 500 by 500 pixels.
How are you supposed to get these? Well…
•To get a Simple Square, you won't have to do much except leave it the same size as you begin with.
•To get a Rounded Square, use this site to round the finished Pfp corners.
•To get a Circle, use the rounding on the previous site until its a complete circle. Then, using clipping layers in your art progra!, clip a folder containing the pfp onto the circle and save it as a Transparent PNG, which has no background. Its best to draw the pfp based on the circle instead of adjusting the finished pfp to it.

Step Three: Make a Drawing
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
A lot of people think they can't draw, but actually, they usually can. In the extremely rare case you can't, you'll want to ask a friend or someone to draw this part. If you're going to start drawing, try these tips…
•Make your drawing simple
•Use your stroke smoother as often as you can
•Use lots of clipping layers
•Use color filter layers
•Use gradations
•Watch Speedpaints or Tutorials to draw something or get ideas
Animating Pfp's is a little more advanced, so it'd be best to wait on those until you've practiced.
Helpful Tips and Tricks
Ever seen someone with a good pfp and wondered “How can I get one like that?” Chances are, you have and wish you could make one. We've all been there. Some people, though, resort to stealing pfps if they don't know how to make one. This can lead to lots of issues here on Scratch, especially when people claim they made it, due to the limited reasons you can select when reporting a profile picture. That's why I'm making this forum post; to help you easily create one that's your own.~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~

Remember there's NO SHAME in using a tutorial. Those can be helpful if you're just starting to learn. I would make a tutorial in this post with visuals, but this has already gone on long enoughMake sure to take lots of time into the drawing, even drawing it physically first if you'd like. The more dedication, the smoother the result. Remember to add a watermark on the finished result to prevent it being stolen.

2 ways
º~~⁓~~º~~⁓~~º~~⁓~~º~~⁓~~º
way 1:
Go on the internet and find a your perfect profile picture some might not work their size must be 512x512 or less. If it is a GIF Oips and Rs probably won't work. (word of warning: some might not come out clear so you might not be able to see them).
way 2
Go onto a website were you can draw you will want to use
1.layers
2.clear colours
3.Drawing you like
4.don't make it big
5.and never make it messy
then save it
º~~⁓~~º~~⁓~~º~~⁓~~º
to give yourself your new profile picture
º~~⁓~~º~~⁓~~º~~⁓~~º
go to your profile and go to the blue cat on the screen and hover your mouse over it there will be a bar saying change click on it and you will go on files (You must verify you email address before doing this)
go to downloads and click your saved file and finished
