Yes, the same way it is ok to change it any other day of the year, as long as everything follows the Community Guidelines.

So I heard a group called “scratch police” (people pretending to be scratch mods) on a recent forum post I was on

So I have one question

is there a wiki page on Them? (Edit: you don’t need to answer this due to this post being updated, check underneath the line thingy I made for the new question)

___________________________________________________________
Edit:

I have went back to that forum post and learnt that there isn’t a wiki page about them so why is that?
I've never heard about it, and probably most people haven't either

I can link the forum post where I heard of them if you want?
That sounds like an article that we won't create because it could lead to flame wars.
I don't know can someone else help you?

It is automatic, also create the page Scratch Wiki:April Fools' Day/User:username (replace username with your username).

I couldn't, because there are 31.1 million results on the query “scratch police”. The forum changes to curly quotes, there are half-ways (the left one is actually curly, looking like 기 without the -): ‘'test’'

If you want to go to forum post that says “Scratch Police”, go to History of your browser. If you cleared your history, search for “SCRATCH police disciss”, and filter to the webpage scratch.mit.edu (sorry if it is blue), and exclude -search.

Will the “Griffpatch is following you” thingy get its own page

I can link some forums and other stuff for proof on why I think it deserves one

I think that if the username exploit can be confirmed to be real by trustworthy sources, then it could be mentioned somewhere on the Wiki

It's definitely too minor to get its own page, but may merit a mention in the Username article or something like that. However, we should wait until the issue is patched before documenting it, as it is technically a security vulnerability and we do not want to encourage people to exploit it.

Ah ok, but remember to include that some how it was changed to “attentionseeker(something) is following you” and that only like a couple thousand people were followed

Hey would it be alright if I use what you said as like proof for a forum topic about the “griffpatch following notification” thingy?

I don't think anything I said would even be suggestive evidence, let alone proof. I was not even followed by this account, so I didn't get a notification myself and don't have a screenshot. All I have commented on is what would be acceptable on the Wiki, but I don't know any more about it than anyone else does, and I don't even have firsthand experience with it.

Yes I do know that but it’s just that as you stated that there is a security vulnerability that allowed for this bug to happen (for context, on the topic we began discussing knowledge about the whole notification thingy and how they managed to change their name to Griffpatch and make it link to Griffpatch’s profile but then someone said that it is a minor exploit (or something like that) so I wanted to explain to them how it was sort of more then a “minor exploit” but still not that bad so then I remembered this conversation we had)
