I've asked a lot of questions, but this is one of the most annoying.

WHY IS THE ONE THING SCRATCHERS HAVE SPECIAL FROM OTHERS DOWN???

504 timeout error on clouddata.scratch.mit.edu
If you don't what that is, here's the explanation in simple words:
4xx error is an error occurred on the client side, most famously 404 page not found.
5xx error is an error occurred on the server side, and 504 timeout means the scratch servers did not get a response in time.

In other words the severs are either down or broken. I would imagine that the ST would have disabled them while fixing cloud varibles but don't quote me on that I could be extreamly wrong
