Why would I not say that, there is lot's of evidence that proves that it is dying, and people don't realize it. I think you should do your own research because
it is a dying language. I myself am a Yoruba person, so I should know.

Many people who have lived in Nigeria their whole lives whose parents speak Yoruba cannot speak it themselves. Lots of parents in Nigeria are also prioritizing English over their native languages. Again, by the time the older generations die off, people will begin to realize it more that the language is indeed dying. But by then, it might be too late. The language is really suffering and is going extinct.

There have been serious battles in Lagos concerning the Yoruba extinction, but the other cities are not taking it too seriously.

Also if you really want good evidence, try and see how many projects on Scratch are completely made in the Yoruba language, compared to English, French, Chinese, and Russian Projects. I haven't found a single project on Scratch completely made in Yoruba except for my own.

Also I apologise Fabielreyes if it seems like I am annoying, I am not trying to annoy, I just want you to stop spreading false information if you haven't done your thorough research. I do not intend to continue this argument.

It is very sad, when children can no longer speak their mother's tongue. It has been recorded than even in Nigeria, in places where Yoruba is spoken, the children their cannot even speak their mothers tongue or are struggling. The Yoruba language is seriously dying out at a pace faster then we think and the amount of time that we have to save the language is dying. In Yoruba land, the only place where Yoruba is compulsory in schools is in Lagos, the other states think that it is the parent's responsibility to teach their children their mothers tongue and it is optional in schools. And kids no longer have interest in the mother's tongue anymore. They would rather speak English instead. Action needs to be taken, let us endeavor to use the language, while communicating as well as on social medias and online in order to guarantee it's preservation.

Also, let us not think that because Lagos has made Yoruba compulsory in schools that Lagos will be a safe zone. That it is not true at all, a new president could come in a few years and change that. And then the scramble to save the Yoruba language from extinction would start all over again. The battle could continue and somehow they would lose and Yoruba would go extinct and be lost forever. The only way to ensure that Yoruba is not lost, is to use it online, speak it, enscribe it on things around us so that we will constantly see it, and pass it on to the newer generations, especially the newer generations. This will ensure it's preservation whether or not it is compulsory in schools. Let's stop scrambling and start acting!

It seems that progress on translating Scratch in Yoruba is stagnant. I've been checking for the past few days and it is still the same. 90% for the first and 8% for the second. These are for the minimum requirements for Scratch to be translated into Yoruba, they both need to be at at least like 90% to 100% and were only about halfway there, we need help, onward!
