How does it work? Does it use a blacklist or use web search?

it works by a blacklist of words that if commented, then you get muted for commenting, adding projects to studios, and forums posts.
Not all swears are censors, and also social media sites that are private can be blacklisted.

That’s…. not good if it’s a blacklist. Someone could literally bypass the blacklist extremely easily and dont get a consequence until a while later.

There’s also a whitelist of appropriate words containing censored words as substrings to deal with the Scunthorpe problem. For example, if “sat” was censored, a phrase like “is at” would be whitelisted.

Filter ignores whitespace/spaces.
If you see or find a misfire or something that should be filtered, just report it or slide a message to Contact-Us and wait.

That said, what way is there besides blacklists that wouldn't have users complaining that it takes ages to send their comment?
Or alternatively - Which pill, poison or poison?

Roblox allows harmful words

The censor bot has three-ish systems: a blacklist that looks for similar ways to spell/variations of bad word, a blacklist that just looks for one spelling of a word, and a special system for things like phone numbers.
