Scratch “Explore” has been completely filled with foreign content instead of our own language. I don't know if you are happy with this situation, but even though making it global seems nice, it's not entirely good.

I know that when I create a project now, the chances of it appearing on the explore page are very low. And when I make a project in a foreign language, it’s not great that I won’t be able to show it to people who actually speak that language.

What about the Japanese projects on the “Explore” page? Sure, there are nice projects, but if you're not Japanese, can you even understand what those projects are saying to you? Some projects on the “Explore” page have already been removed, yet they are still there.

What do you think about this situation?

So what's the solution? Also Scratch is for all languages.

I know it is for all languages, but the “Explore” page used to be shaped based on countries. If you were English, you would see projects accordingly; if you were Japanese, you would see projects suited to you. This increased awareness and engagement.

yes,pretty sure this already was the case but the indexer broke and boom now language filtering no worky

i did not know what they were saying and now support this as it is better to have projects in regional launguages

I agree. Projects of my own language (russian) are rare in explore too.

then stop supporting non-english languages

There is a bug, where your selected language doesn't locate your language.

I reported this issue to the Scratch Team twice, and they asked me to post it on the forum. At first, I didn't want to, but the second time, I decided to share the post to get your opinions as well.

If that was in a response you got from Contact Us shortly after you sent it, note that it's automated.

The Explore page is supposed to filter by language, but if a project is popular enough, it's supposed to allow that project to appear across language boundaries. Hence the Japanese projects- Japan has a large Scratch community.

It doesn’t, or at least, I think.
I don’t think the project indexer has the ability to index the language of a project
