How to copy paste code?

How do i copy paste code/blocks?, some people tell the method is clicking the backpack that is on the bottom, but it doesn't work for me because i might did the steps incorrect, and please tell me with more details.

You click on the backpack at the bottom, then you drag the code into it. You move to another sprite and add the square that is the code back. It also works between projects.

In addition to the backpack, you can drag code, costumes, and sounds into other sprites within the same project.

You can also right-click on a sprite and export it as a .sprite3 file. This sprite can then be imported into any project (see the list of buttons when creating a new sprite, one is labelled Upload Sprite).

This isn't really helping my case but like, I plan to make a free roam birds-eye view horror game and I want the map to follow the player instead of hitboxes begging to be touched by the player to go to the next room and so I need chatGPT to do that, so I copy the code it gives me but idk how to paste it on my empty scratch tab, can someone pls help me?
