how to make the thumbnail fade in when you stop a project

I think I've seen a couple of projects in which once you press the stop button, the thumbnail fades back in. how do I do that?

at the start of my project I show the thumbnail for 2 seconds, and then I use the ghost effect to make it fade out.

I've seen the scratch wiki tutorial for stop detection, but that doesn't really work for my project. because I'm using the effects option, when the project stops the thumbnail automatically reappears at the end. but I don't want it to just appear- I want it to slowly fade in

You can do one of 2 things:
1. Click report on the original post and type in the reason (in this case, something along the lines of “Figured out issue”).
2. (only works if you created the topic and it has been at least 24 hours since you did that) There should be a close topic button underneath the submit button.
