It's been at least a month, possibly 2 months since the cloud variables stopped working. Would be awesome to at least get some more news about it, right now the Scratch Team are being as secret as Rockstar.

is this still an issue? I have been trying to use cloud variables for the past few weeks but they still aren't working for me, I guess it's because they are down

They found out why cloud variables are down: clouddata.scratch.mit.edu
DNS, previously didn't have ping. Now it has ping, but it's a 504 timeout.
