What is allowed in terms of horror/violence?
I'm making a horror game series (One is already finished), and I just want to know where they draw the line?
My game has sudden jump scares but you still get a bit of a warning before it actually happens. In my future game as well, there's going to be lighters and axes and I don't know if that's allowed? It's not used for violence it's for certain mechanics. My monsters are a bit scary for a child (But not like super scary), and there is are a bunch of warnings that the game has jump scares.

- Jumpscares aren't allowed even with warnings.
- The maximum “scary” you can get in a scary monster without breaking the Community Guidelines is glowing eyes.
- Axes should be allowed if there's no blood, but I'm questioning lighters.

It should be spooky rather than scary.

if have scawy blood, that's a no-no, If it have scawy jumpscares, that's also a no-no.
In other words, don't make it something as scary as fnaf 4, make something that is spooky and at least give you some chills down your spine.

The official policy can be found here.

A good rule of thumb is that no blood more than a papercut amount is allowed.
Horror can somewhat happen, you can't use jumpscares. Try just…making a creepy atmosphere? /gen
(Coming from someone who doesn't make many projects and doesn't go too much into that territory, I hope I answered your question somewhat)

What is allowed in terms of horror/violence?
If one was to make a horror game on scratch, will it be taken down if there are jump scare and disturbing picture warnings in the description? (Technically, they have been warned…. right?)
Note- if a game that included horror remains private, will it still get banned? Thanks

1. Yes it would. 2. Warning aren’t allowed (except for flashing lights and loud sounds). 3. No, since there’s no one to report it. Also, please don’t reply unconstructively to old topics. This is known as Necroposting and isn’t allowed. If one was to make a horror game on scratch, will it be taken down if there are jump scare and disturbing picture warnings in the description? Hope this helps!

For FNAF, you could just make a Freddy Dressup, but this is just my idea. You could do your project whatever you want, as long as they aren't violent. You should not really post any violent for an all ages audience on Scratch, since Scratch Coding is used for kids, including elders.
