How many available usernames are there left?
So I have been Wondering this for so long but how many usernames are still available?

it would be the (total number of possible usernames) - (the number of existing usernames)

For help on the first part, to get the total number of possible usernames, you could add up all of the possible usernames based on how long the usernames are (usernames also allow underscore, dash, numbers, and letters only, so there's 38 possibilities per character, and usernames). The minimum character count for a username is 3 (as far as I know, all of the possible 3 character ones are taken though), while the maximum is 20. However, the username filter (which doesn't seem to whitelist a lot) makes the number lower it would be the (total number of possible usernames) - (the number of existing usernames)
Edit: It's a very large number though, which you can see just by taking this using the maximum number of characters as an example lol

Wow. That means that if around 1/8th of the population decided to sign up, there would be no more usernames. To give you an idea, over a billion.

People can make multiple accounts, and there's gonna be a lot more than one billion:Wow. That means that if around 1/8th of the population decided to sign up, there would be no more usernames. To give you an idea, over a billion.

Make sure your username is between 3-20 characters! If possible, make a appropriate username So I have been Wondering this for so long but how many usernames are still available?

It's been well established recently that there is actually 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (or 1e31) usernames left.

I just keep trying to find usernames that are good but I just can't I feel like they are all taken. The only ones I can do are spamming characters, and then some how, the numbers : 1-1-2 are not allowed in the username It's been well established recently that there is actually 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (or 1e31) usernames left.

How many available usernames are there left?
There is a Max Username length of 30 characters, with 26 possible letters (Usernames are Cap Insensitive) which gives us a b c d e f g h I j k l m n o p q r s t u v w z y z to work with.
Then numbers are allowed which gives us 10 more possible characters (36) with 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Then there are - and _ allowed, which gives us a final number of 38 possible states for each
If we do the math, each character can have 38 possible states.
Skipping the boring stuff, we end with the number 38^30, which as an actual number is 1.1827*10^47 or
118,270,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
possible Scratch usernames.
Assuming there is still 130 million user and not more then there are roughly 118,269,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,870,000,000 usernames left.
FURTHERMORE IT WOULD TAKE 3.75*10^15 YEARS FOR A COMPUTER RUNNING AT 1 MILLION USERNAMES PER SECOND TO CALCULATE THEM ALL
WHICH IS 13.8 BILLION YEARS
We don't need to worry about running out of usernames (Maybe good ones tho) because at 1000 people signing up per day it would still take 323,835,616,438,356,164,383,560 years to run out, at 10000 people it would take 32,376,000,000,000,000, and at 100000 per day it would take 3,239,000,000,000 years to run out. We are not running out any time soon.

That's 638087593309253356347208813402090635264000000016 possible usernames Scratch can allow (including the gibberish-looking ones) Assuming a computer guesses 1.5 billion usernames per second, the time it would take for a computer to guess all possible usernames here would be 626581095732659130277998804111035773477734422954 seconds, or 47685014895940573080517412793838338925462 YEARS!

you know how I said a computer going though 1.5 billion characters/sec would figure out the total number of possible usernames on Scratch after computing it for 626581095732659130277998804111035773477734422954sec/47685014895940573080517412793838338925462 years? With the rising attention of quantum computers, if a powerful enough quantum computer was built, it would surf through this whole thing like butter. What I mean is it can figure out the names of possible usernames within minutes.

Since there are 36 possible characters in a username, I calculated the amount of usernames that can be x amount of characters, which are the exponent. Than I added all of them up, and subtracted from the statistics page on new accounts.
Tell me if I did anything wrong.
