What Is A Hitbox?
In some of @griffpatch 's projects, some costumes are named “Hitbox”. What does that mean?

What Is A Hitbox?
An area (usually a box) in which collisions are detected.
They're more common outside of Scratch, because of Scratch's

block making it relatively easy to code collision detection, but even in Scratch it's useful to have one if you don't want Scratch Cat being able to jump and hold on to ledges in your platformer from their whiskers.

What Is A Hitbox?
It's a shape of any kind where collisions are detected. It is helpful in games such as platformers with programmable characters that aren't just a square. (Demonstrated from a griffpatch tutorial)
