Add "sprunki" and a few of it's alternative names to the NFE filter

I'm going to be frank. Sprunki is bad yet it is still being rocketed to the top of trending on a daily basis, exposing children to the gore and scary images in it. I propose that this gets added to the NFE filter, similar to how “FNAF” was (due to a similar scary project incident). It should also be search blacklisted (searching it just immediately results in nothing found).

As for the occasional project that isn't breaking the community guidelines, I feel like similar to FNAF, most projects associated with Sprunki are too inappropriate to risk it.

for those that are not familiar with the scary project policy, here is a link to it: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/168506/

Exposing gore and spooky images? This is a case for the Keystone Cops indeed! Seriously though, if a kids non-for-profit website is gonna have that sort of content it should ALREADY be NFE.

You may not care about gore, but there are 8 year olds out there who have seen this. 13+ warnings do not affect the rating of a project.

What about the family friendly Sprunki projects? (Just read the rest, but if there really is a inappropriate game, just report it. It isn't worth nfe all the rest._

I think OP means to shadowban the (Edit: trending and) search term, as with FNAF.

FNAF projects are still allowed if they follow CGs, unlike H̵̜̠̘̮̘̹̮̮̼̔̈́̿̋͌̃͑́͑ả̷̡̪̞͚̗͎̺͍̳̒̄͐͋̽̑z̴̧̯̬̜͕̻̜̤̬͋̔̄͂͘b̸̥̟̹̭̟̔̏̋į̴̲̠̭̼̳̟̭͕̺̝̄̈́͊̿n̷̡̛̪̯̙̟̹̮͙̪̝͜ ̴̢̰͔̤͔̭͚̺̓̿̿͌̀͘Ḩ̸̢̮̺͔̗̲͇̮̺̙̟͒̀̉́̄̇̈́̽̾̇̐̈́o̵̯̠̥̼͌̑̌̎̈́̐̀̆̚͘̕̕t̶̖̗̣́̿͆̔̓̅̉͠ȩ̴̭͈̼̌̓̔̿͛͒͑͆̆͑̀̄̐͝l̶̻̞̼͚̯̫͖͋̐̀͆, which is completely banned.

To clarify, what NFE means is it just doesn't show up on trending or in search. this is the wiki article for it: https://en.scratch-wiki.info/wiki/Project_Review_Status

Kids will easily ignore warnings

I Support,

1,a st member saying this

2, the gore project seeming not to stop

3, sprunki even getting a section in the controversy section of the wiki

I feel like this will happen eventually

Support!

It's a nice compromise between dealing with all the phase-2 related content, while sparing the Sprunki fans that don't post about phase 2.

I really hope they NFE it at most, and don't ban all projects simply for showing the Sprunki characters.

If they blanket ban it(rather than blanket NFE it), not only would that risk a lot more people getting in trouble for milder things(It wouldn't be fair to treat the person who made a Wenda Dress Up game the same as the person who made an unmodified phase 2 project), it would be hypocritical to let FNAF fans merely be NFE'd, yet have Sprunki fans be treated harsher, including even the otherwise CG-abiding Sprunki fans.

Not to mention, if this way of thinking(There's lots of bad projects about Sprunki, so blanket ban ALL Sprunki projects, regardless if they're bad or not) is applied to other franchises, then I can think of other communities that might be negatively affected by this:

Madness Combat
Happy Tree Friends
Team Fortress 2
Gregory Horror Show/Midnight Horror School
Incredibox Abgerny
Call Of Duty
Fallout
Borderlands
Decaying Winter
Dandy's World
And many more I can't think of.

If there was an influx of inappropriate projects with the listed franchises, should they also be blanket banned(not Blanket NFEd), and potentially harm the CG-abiding fans of these franchises?

I have a friend that's into Madness Combat, Decaying Winter, Happy Tree Friends, AND Sprunki(His name even alludes to the first franchise I mentioned), and he typically abides by the CGs. Blanket banning these franchises could get him swept into the same boat as the CG-breaking fans of these properties, and that wouldn't be fair for him(and considering his username, he could potentially lose his account, period)

“NFE” means “Not For Everyone”

If a project is tagged “NFE”, it won't show up in search results, or on the front page, yet is still allowed to be up on the Scratch website.

The “NFE Filter” may refer to common keywords that prevent a project from showing up in the search results, or on the front page.

And you completely miss my point.

Also those properties aren't content farms, yet are often affected by them.

If similar logic is used here(If there's content farms of a given property, we should ban the property altogether), then wouldn't Inside Out 2 and Sonic be banned as well?

I think you’re confused then:

Certain search queries such as “FNAF” have censored results. This has nothing to do with NFE. These words are in a filter to stop projects about them from showing up.

In order for projects to not show up on explore, they have to manually be marked NFE - there isn’t a system to do this, to my knowledge.

Given this (which was linked earlier in the topic), it sounds like Sprunki pretty much isn't allowed anymore at all.

If that is the case, then why implement this suggestion?

I think this post is about asking for a compromise?
