like the comment section of a project, but it has its own tab, instead of being in a specific project, use same censoring as the comment section

Thousands of millions of people chatting at the same time might not be a great idea.

Maybe it could be a group chat and you can put people you wanna talk with? (They get an option if they wanna join or not)

An easy workaround would be a chat studio or project.

If you're implying live chat, then that's already rejected:

The workaround is way too simple to need an actual chat room added, and there are many users who already use the workaround. I see a lot of links on profile pages to studios/projects that are being used as an alternative to profile comments or also just as a chat room.

Chatrooms are not allowed, look on rejected suggestions.
Safety issues is a reason no chatrooms on scratch.

So, like, a studio. Basically a studio.

This could be hard to moderate as well. Some very active chat studios had to be closed down several times because of innapropriate content.

No. The linked topic is basically a sticky-board for a user. This is a chatroom that everyone can post on and is owned by no one.
