I stated that “I would try to make assets, sounds, or anything for this project and may do some scripting.” I hope people see this because I did absolutely nothing wrong here, but you clearly can't see that.

One thing I noticed is that the friction is largely due to issues regarding the question "Can you make assets, sounds, or anything for this project?“. If a person seeking to join any collab find the instructions or overall collab too demanding, it's better to just not join the collab instead of trying to argue why you should be let in. Not every collab project will be a good fit, even if the subject matter is of interest to you. Making a thread in the request forums might be a better place to offer services on your own schedule if you're seeking to give help to others. It's best to just apologize for misunderstanding the collab's rules and just move on.
