so nice getting ocular up again, thank you mr based jeffalo

one click sign on still doesn't work for me so my status is stuck as this incredibly lame halo reference forever. years after I am gone they will remember me by this

, mostly was lefty's work. for the sign in, i was able to authenticate with scratchauth using the comment method. does that work for you?- AmpElectrecuted

when cloud variables are fixed, there should be a scratch project to let you set an ocular status from scratch

unless you're gonna be fetching comments from projects and looking for the exact user (possible with https://api.scratch.mit.edu/users/PROJECTAUTHOR/projects/ID/comments?offset=FOO&limit=FOO ) (but that might end up being a lot of requests at some point if people just end up using it more than sign in) i don't think there'd be a way to do that? might just be forgetting something or being pessimistic here though

(#3767)jeffalo does own the ocular server though, so he could just bypass the scratchauth auth he implemented when editing a status from scratch (since you can authenticate through that alone, even with cloud variables using the cloud log)

this could be weird and interesting. like if i had a specific project, and instead of having an ocular dashboard to edit your status, you could just comment what you wanted your new status to be - might confuse scratch's moderators though.(#3767)jeffalo does own the ocular server though, so he could just bypass the scratchauth auth he implemented when editing a status from scratch (since you can authenticate through that alone, even with cloud variables using the cloud log)

(#3769)if we got rid of the ocular dashboard entirely, status moderation would become orders of magnitude easier… there'd definitely br some cons though-snip-this could be weird and interesting. like if i had a specific project, and instead of having an ocular dashboard to edit your status, you could just comment what you wanted your new status to be - might confuse scratch's moderators though.
help i can no longer say cons without going into functional programming mode

You could do cloud vars. Like, encode the status into numbers. And use all 10 variables, so you can get the full length.this could be weird and interesting. like if i had a specific project, and instead of having an ocular dashboard to edit your status, you could just comment what you wanted your new status to be - might confuse scratch's moderators though.(#3767)jeffalo does own the ocular server though, so he could just bypass the scratchauth auth he implemented when editing a status from scratch (since you can authenticate through that alone, even with cloud variables using the cloud log)

using comments would allow us to benefit from scratch's filter/moderationYou could do cloud vars. Like, encode the status into numbers. However, I also haven't used it much today, so I'm a bad source of if it's working or not.

sb3 is a little overscaled:

they also overflow outside view and become unreadable unless you view it on the forums themselves:
