My browser / operating system: IPad iOS 17.6, ChromeiOS 128.0.6613.34, No Flash version detected

This isn’t a bug but an actual glitch that you can preform. So you cannot comment with just a space. Right? But if you type the speaking symbol emoji (or possibly any other emoji that scratch leaves blank when it cannot be commented) and send the comment it will actually leave the comment as blank and will actually send it leaving it with a blank comment.

After getting the emoji you mentioned I was able to reproduce this. (See your profile.)

The solution would be to replace the emoji with a question mark instead of removing it.

I do not have a speaking symbol emoji you must have addons

This was already resolved and no, I do not have an add on. It’s a emoji that was literally preinstalled onto my device and some emojis work while some don’t.

Most emojis are a part of something called Unicode, and work on most devices that support Unicode symbols in planes higher than the BMP (which almost every computer supports these days, not counting calculators).

You do not need browser extensions to type a smile emoji in most cases- however, Scratch's servers only support the BMP, and thus not most emojis.

What speaking thing? this is probably the first time in 2025 that I am active on the forms

speaker emoji, this may work on others. emojis. %7f also produces an empty character, except on certain devices it's just a crossed box.
