Create a new scary project policy announcement, or modify the existing one to explicitly mention Sprunki
(to those who have not seen it, this is the policy: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/168506 )
There should be a new one that brings up the Sprunki issue, and says it is not allowed. It should also be put somewhere on a banner in the main page so people don't have an excuse to ignore it. It is not OK for pretty much anyone in the intended Scratch's age rating and it has already been stated it is not allowed, but people still create the projects. I asked someone to remove the gore from a sprunki project, and three or four people, including the creator of the project called me a “snitch” and repeatedly told me to shut up while not doing anything. The project got taken down about a day later, but it already had a couple thousand views by then.
If there was an announcement directly adressing Sprunki, people would have no excuse to have it.
thoughts?

Currently I am not aware of any policies against Sprunki. Is part of your suggestion to disallow any use of Sprunki in projects? There should be a new one that brings up the Sprunki issue, and says it is not allowed.
I don't think the Scratch Team would want to prominently advertise potentially-inappropriate content on the front page. It should also be put somewhere on a banner in the main page so people don't have an excuse to ignore it.
It has been stated that It is not OK for pretty much anyone in the intended Scratch's age rating and it has already been stated it is not allowed, inappropriate Sprunki projects are not allowed. Appropriate Sprunki projects are still allowed, as far as I know. For the inappropriate ones, you can already use the Report buttton.
Make sure to just silently use the Report button on any inappropriate content instead, to avoid such situations. I asked someone to remove the gore from a sprunki project, and three or four people, including the creator of the project called me a “snitch” and repeatedly told me to shut up while not doing anything.

This is already encompassed by the existing horror project policy, but a lot of people haven't seen it. My suggestion is to modify the scary projects policy a bit to specifically mention Sprunki, while also moving it to a more acccessible place (starting as a sitewide banner, then maybe linked in an accesible place on the main page.Currently I am not aware of any policies against Sprunki. Is part of your suggestion to disallow any use of Sprunki in projects? There should be a new one that brings up the Sprunki issue, and says it is not allowed.
They have already done this with the FNAF announcement I linked, because they mentioned FNAF. Although Sprunki is definitely worse than FNAF, as long as the ST is not actually linking sprunki projects it is probably fine.I don't think the Scratch Team would want to prominently advertise potentially-inappropriate content on the front page. It should also be put somewhere on a banner in the main page so people don't have an excuse to ignore it.
1. 90% of projects involving Sprunki are innapropriate (citation: click on one and look around for a bit, most of them are bad)It has been stated that It is not OK for pretty much anyone in the intended Scratch's age rating and it has already been stated it is not allowed, inappropriate Sprunki projects are not allowed. Appropriate Sprunki projects are still allowed, as far as I know. For the inappropriate ones, you can already use the Report buttton.
2. This would just specify it in the announcement while putting it somewhere more visible. It would probably get the same treatment as FNAF (exactly what you said, appropriate projects are OK if there is nothing scary in them)
I admit I was wrong here, although I have found that if projects are just reported and taken down people can sometimes misunderstand/excuse future projects by claiming that they were taken down for no reason. I thought if I explained it was bad, they might listen, although I guess that was clearly wrong in hindsight xdMake sure to just silently use the Report button on any inappropriate content instead, to avoid such situations. I asked someone to remove the gore from a sprunki project, and three or four people, including the creator of the project called me a “snitch” and repeatedly told me to shut up while not doing anything.

Thanks - but we don't see a need for this at this time.
Please use the Report button on any projects or comments that go against the Community Guidelines. That sends a link right to the Scratch Team moderators so they can look at the issue directly and take any necessary action.
You can also use the Contact Us link (at the bottom of every page) for more complicated situations.
