I want to know how to work on a project without it updating for players. Whenever I change something, the only option is “save now”. There isn't an update button

I'm new to scratch, so I'm sorry if this is a silly question. Thanks in advance!

Copy the project (save as copy under file in the editor header), and develop the update in the unshared copy, then, when the update is finished, use “save to your computer (also under file), then use ”load from your computer" in the shared project.

All you need to do is copy the project and work on the update there. When you're finished, click save to computer and upload the save file to your original game. This is what I do to update my scratch game.

2) I don't use mobile Scratch, but the same options should exist in the header regardless of device.
