Constantly logged out for no reason

My browser / operating system: MacOS Macintosh X 10.15.7, Safari 17.4.1, No Flash version detected

I am sick and tired of this, but Scratch constantly logs me out for no reason at all. It's not even funny. Recently, it has gotten so bad that I often can't even go from page to page without being logged out.

My internet connection is strong. I mever use Scratch on mobile data. I never have Scratch logged in on more than one device at a time. What is happening, and can I fix it?

This is a common issue. Even I am affected by this glitch. Just hold tight while the ST works on it.

It's getting worse. Sometimes I can't even get past the title page.

yeah, that's been happening to me too, but i think that the ST mostly fixed id

There is a workaround

If you change your password, Scratch will not log you out again.

HOWEVER!!!!

If you log onto your account on a different device, the bug will come back.

Huh, it's still pretty frequent (2-3 page changes) to me.

I replicated the logout on 2 other accounts, it happens when you click/get the privacy policy update banner thing.

Title. Once the banner of ‘The Scratch privacy policy has been updated, effective May 25, 2023. You can see the new policy here.’ appears, my account gets logged out
Scratch has been pretty buggy lately and I'm quite sure multiple users have faced similar issues, but I haven't really seen anybody talk about the appearance of a banner from almost 2 years and then getting logged out afterwards

the only browser extensions i have enabled are forced by my school and i can't disable them

Although I have been noticing that I get logged out before I log in at first in the morning- for reference, this topic was posted at 5:52 AM in my timezone. This typically happens after a few weeks of inactivity, not less than a day.

I am experiencing the same thing I have a project showcasing it's appearances. It seems like that Safari users are not affected by this tho… strange

Sometimes the banner appears, sometimes it doesn't but I still get logged out
