Is it ok to use the censor bleep to censor swear words?
This is assuming it’s unclear what the word actually is.
Also, how do I show expletives without actually using them when talking with a voice? One way which is only for text that I sometimes see on the SCP foundation wiki is replacing an expletive with “(EXPLETIVE)” (replace with square brackets). For example, “That’s (EXPLETIVE) awesome!”

I don't think so, as it still implies that there's a swear there (also in that example, I can definitely tell what is said)

just use a replacement word, like freakingWould “fricking” be okay too? The ST said that minor swears (like crap, damn, frick, etc.) are ok as long as they are not used in a disrespectful manner.

replacement words should be ok as long as they have a separate meaningjust use a replacement word, like freakingWould “fricking” be okay too? The ST said that minor swears (like crap, damn, frick, etc.) are ok as long as they are not used in a disrespectful manner.
“freak” is ok because it means “something abnormal”
“frick” isn't ok because it was only invented for the sole purpose of replacing one specific explicit word

Incorrect. The Scratch Team has deemed "frick“ as appropriate, therefore you can say it on Scratch.
You'll still get muted if you use it in an offensive or disrespectful way, though.
OP, you can use ”frick" but I wouldn't if i were you because your project would be taken down

This is assuming it’s unclear what the word actually is.Well, I believe that it isn't really allowed.

I would recommend staying on the side of caution and just not doing this to be honest.

If doing so were allowed, that would probably be how the filter is implemented in this case.
Considering that it mutes you for at least 5 minutes rather than just replacing the swear with asterisks or hashtags, no, don't do this. Also, in most cases it's really not that hard to guess what the word was.

Its better to say: "This is ." If you just say the phrase people won't know how many characters there are.

Just use a censored word like “freaking” (I guess it's unrecommended, your project will be NFE'ed.)
Beeping the bad words is the best choice, but don't make the beep loud.
