Stop schools from being IP banned.

If an IP has at least one teacher account attached to it, then IP bans will not take effect (or require a lot more to happen). If the teacher is compromized then of course once the teacher is found to be bad the restriction is lifted. This will make it so that one student who spams innapropriate content to get their school blocked (this has happened before) won't be able to get it to happen.

If a teacher account in the IP is banned than an IP ban takes place bypassing the previous thing
thoughts?

Definitely won't be supporting this, here's why:
Trolls would be more common on the site, because all they will create one teacher account to avoid getting the IP ban. This would mean they could spam as much inappropriate content for as they want to.

you cant just create a teacher account, you need to do a process to confirm you are a teacher.

I've heard that people have been able to bypass this. Like there was some guy that made a “scratchr2” teacher account, and he was most likely not a teacher at all.
Maybe the process could definitely be improved though

huh, odd…

If a teacher in the school gets banned permanently for a reason other than accidental revealing personal information, it would probably be safe to ban the IP itself, but I'm not sure.

IP bans are a manual process, so this is already implemented. When IP banning someone, the Scratch Team checks to see if an IP address likely belongs to a school. If it is likely, then they will not ban the IP.

Right. Unless it's a very serious case and we feel that we need to talk to the school network folks.
