Idle Dice

Introduction

Idle Dice is a game made by Lutzgames. I, @TheReimaginedGames, am working on recreating it on Scratch! I know this game has been recreated already, but I plan to make it much better. I've invented my own ways to use lists to check combos, which will work awesomely once I finish the game (and right now)! Currently, version 1.1 beta is out containing 1000+ blocks to do all sorts of things from rolling to achievements. I am working on the game whenever I can, and hope to find someone to do the art for me because it is currently a list-only game.

UPDATE INFO

The v1.2 beta update is currently underway. I will hopefully finish it by the end of next month. The reason this is taking a long time is because of how many features are being added. Keep in mind, this will not be the last update! I plan to add my own twists after adding the main elements of the original game. Enjoy some of my other projects while you wait at my profile. MORE INFO (JAN. 27): Progress is going good! I have almost finished all the achievements and just have a handful left. I'm going to need some beta testers soon, so more on that later. All I have after this is to work on dice ascensions (which shouldn't be too hard) and then 1.2 will be out! UPDATE STOPPED! I have stopped working on the update for the time being due to personal reasons, do not worry though! I will come back to this game soon enough. UPDATE CONTINUED! I'm continuing the update!

Beta Versions
  • 1.0 Included: 700+ blocks which included the pen background, base game, dice upgrades and shop, and much more!
  • 1.1 Added: 300+ more blocks to add prestige, achievements (currently 1, gonna add more), autoroll, and an idle effect! More time in the game = more score!
  • HUGE UPDATE: 1.2 (COMING SOON) Adding: 3000+ blocks to add more achievements*, a text engine, cards, a spinning wheel, and much more planned!

Controls
  • Buy/upgrade dice: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
  • Roll dice: space
  • Save: up arrow
  • Hide save: down arrow
  • Load: right arrow
  • A: show/hide achievements
  • P: prestige

Variable/list positions
  • Score in bottom-left
  • Total score gained from current roll in the bottom-middle
  • What you rolled in the top-left
  • Shop in the top-middle
  • Multiply (when you upgrade a dice) in the top-right
  • Save code in the middle when the up arrow is clicked (triple click + copy)


Known Bugs
  • Dice 6 (multiplier dice) can be upgraded even though it does not provide a benefit. How to prevent: don't upgrade dice 6.
  • Not a bug, but you can prestige whenever you want. How to prevent: Prestige only when you feel it is necessary (like at 100% prestige).
  • I have some other known bugs but I forgot them lol.

How was this game made?

This game was made using previous code from my “mini projects”, which are unshared, and my somehow new-gained knowledge! I plan to expand this game a lot, so be on the lookout!

Full final game estimation
  • 5000+ blocks

Conclusion

This game will definitely be my biggest, and with over 500 hours of estimated work and infinite play time, it will surely be my best game so far! I hope everyone will find a way to enjoy this game, whether it be beating it, competing with others, remixing it, or even finding all the secrets!
