Does anyone know how to add your own sounds onto scratch without using a website? i've tried literally everything and I CANNOT figure out how to get music onto there.

To add music, you can use the “Sound” blocks, by going into “sounds” in a sprite and making a sound. You can also make it talk and make audio with it by going into extensions and adding text to speech. First, make sure the project you're making isn't a music sharing project, sharing other people's music as the center of the project.
Anyways, just look up a YouTube downloader. I certainly can't tell you which ones, since they're rare. The one I use is really sketchy, has tons of popups and links, so you gotta have fast reflexes to close out the sketchy tab instead of the real download.

(#7)Agreed. I think https://cobalt.tools/ would be the best choice for this.

Unfortunately, there's no way to import YouTube audio into Scratch without a website or external program.

This may not give you the quality you want but you can record sounds directly into a Scratch project. Of course you would need two devices, one to play the music and the other to run Scratch and record the music.

If you wanted to try using my “two-device”, “record directly” method then you’d just play the youtube video on an iPhone while you had the sound tab open in Scratch on your iPad. Scratch has a microphone icon when you are in its sound tab that you can use to record the music using your microphone. Of course it is not going to be good quality but there is no website involved (if that’s what you wanted).
If you want to look for music that you can download and if you don’t need it to be from youtube video you might look at this site to see if any of his pieces will work in your project: https://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/music.html Actually, a lot of youtube videos use his work. But, you started out asking how to do this without using a website.
