when the hell is the search gonna start working?

They know about it and probably won't fix it for anthor 3 months until scratch gets updated.

by updated, you mean like, scratch 4.0 or smthing?

Scratch's search engine is currently broken. All we can do is wait for it to be fixed.
Unfortunately, no one knows when it will be fixed, how to fix it, or why it's broken.
This bug affects everyone on Scratch, so the Scratch Team is aware of it.

To work around this bug, you can type "site:scratch.mit.edu (search query)" into a search engine like Google.
