Is it against the rules to use multiple accounts to give someone more followers?
In the community guidelines, under the “Be Honest” rule it says not to game the community. Does this fall under that? Or is it okay?

if the multiple accounts were for the sole purpose of making more followers, love-its, views, etc, than yes, i believe that is gaming the community. If they are used for different functions too (i.e. a collab account, test account, school account, etc) than it might be a grey area In the community guidelines, under the “Be Honest” rule it says not to game the community. That would not be an appropriate use of multiple accounts.

But it would be ok maybe if it was one's main account and test account, no others? That would not be an appropriate use of multiple accounts.

I think it comes down to motivation - if the purpose of having the multiple accounts follow another account was simply to inflate the “followers” number for the account - then that would be gaming the community and that would be not okay. But it would be ok maybe if it was one's main account and test account, no others? That would not be an appropriate use of multiple accounts.
On the other hand, if the reason the multiple accounts are following is legitimate - say that the person with the multiple accounts spends a lot of time in each account and doesn't want to miss out on anything new from their friend - or they just want a simple way to jump over to the other person's profile - then it's fine. Oh, and they should make it clear to others that they are controlling the multiple accounts so there is no attempt to fool people.
Bear in mind though, that even if somebody is using multiple accounts to inflate the number of followers on an account - I don't think it gives them any advantage towards getting more views. So I'm not sure how vigorously our moderators would have to discourage it - but it would definitely be against the Community Guidelines.

Say you have a separate account for following people, so your activity box doesn't get flooded.I think it comes down to motivation - if the purpose of having the multiple accounts follow another account was simply to inflate the “followers” number for the account - then that would be gaming the community and that would be not okay. But it would be ok maybe if it was one's main account and test account, no others? Would that be fine?
