I expected the NS2 to have more drastic changes in design than its predecessor, but I like what they did with it.

Something looks off about the controller conversion kit.

My sister and I wrote out ideas for Tomodachi Island, a TL game set on Wuhu Island with freeroam and a world hub and stuff. I still think it'd be a great idea.

The Nintendo Switch 1 will still receive updates, and possibly a whole update to the Switch 2. Switch 2 games will be compatible with the old Nintendo Switch. These games will be Animal Crossing 6, possibly Farming Simulator 26, and so on.

I give it 2 months but once it is homebrewed it might take over the Wii U as the best console to hack because it has compatibility with the Switch 1

(Reposted from the Nintendo Topic)

My theories about the Switch 2:

It will have a later release than people think because of the hands on testing. They're looking for feedback to finalize the design before mass production starts.

The “C” button is for changing the control of the joycon to go into mouse mode for games like mario maker or point-and-click adventures.

Launch titles for Switch 2 in 2025 will be:

Mario Kart,
Metroid Prime 4 (another reason why I think the Switch 2 will release later than expected),
A new short one-off game possibly made by another studio showcasing mouse controls for the Switch 2,
new Animal Crossing game (possibly a spin-off),
also Nintendogs because why not.

I also think Nintendo is going to expand some already existing features of the Switch like themes or online play. I wouldn't be suprised if Prime 4 has some sort of multiplayer arena shooter mode like Prime Hunters.

I think there was a topic for this before the console was actually announced, but ocular wasn't showing any posts for anything for me.

I mean, it was a first look. There could be changes later on. (though I do doubt it xD)

There are few other differences besides color scheme and size. Like the magnetic joycons (well, the Wikipedia article says they magnetically attach to the console itself).

But like you said, it was a first look and they are likely to add more changes based on tests that'll take place later on. If they don't, at the very least it'll hopefully run better and have a few new nooks and crannies.

Eh. Most major consoles just add a number or some random nonsense after whatever came last. (Lookin' at you, Playstation)

most switch 1 exploits will work instantly but will only be able to use switch 1 features (like the DS Mode in the 3D)
homebrew would take 3-6 months, and emulation would start to emerge from 8 months to a year
