Why do views begin with 1?
If a project has no views, it is 1.
If one person viewed a project, it is 2.
The actual view count is (eye number) - 1.
My most popular project has 689 eyes, but subtract 1, and it is actually 688 views.

It’s probably because you’re the first one to view your own project

But in view counters, creator's view does not count, and if no one viewed, it shows 0.
Current order:
Creator, user 1, user 2…
until it reaches the view overflow(?).
No projects reached 2³¹ (over 2 billion) views.

It's to make it seem as if someone actually viewed your project to lower the chances of you quitting because you have no views.

When you edit the project, you might play test it, that counts as a view.

When you edit the project, you might play test it, that counts as a view.I don’t believe that counts, as then some projects that were tested often would have more.
Also, some projects (such as blank ones) that are not tested will still have 1 view.

When you press the green flag, scratch servers knows you clicked it, so to not make it so you can get inf views it only stores it once. When you edit the project, you might play test it, that counts as a view.I don’t believe that counts, as then some projects that were tested often would have more.

i upload just scratch cat. because of that, there is no need to click the flag. the view says 1. the end. When you press the green flag, scratch servers knows you clicked it, so to not make it so you can get inf views it only stores it once. When you edit the project, you might play test it, that counts as a view.I don’t believe that counts, as then some projects that were tested often would have more.

Source? Also, what if you never test it?When you press the green flag, scratch servers knows you clicked it, so to not make it so you can get inf views it only stores it once. When you edit the project, you might play test it, that counts as a view.I don’t believe that counts, as then some projects that were tested often would have more.

(#2)Agreed. If you created the project, you've definitely viewed it (even if you technically haven't clicked the green flag). Therefore, 1 view.
It’s probably because you’re the first one to view your own project

I'm pretty sure that you get your own view for your own project, but Scratch doesn't quickly show multiple views for one person for a project which is why it appears as 1

(removed by moderator - please keep it polite) SOMEONE WHO DOESNT KNOW?
basically, your the first one to view your project, since scratch detects that you viewed the project, the view counter goes up by 1, thus making the view count 1.
